Myofascial Release (MFR) has been used for many years to successfully treat musculoskeletal conditions in humans. It has proven to be extremely effective in elongating the soft tissues (fascia),  improving muscular efficiency and restoring the natural movement. In my physical therapy practice treating professional andelite athletes, Myofascial Release has been an critical therapeutic tool forincreasing strength, power, and overall athletic performance in these high level athletes. Over the past seventeen years, I have been applying this approach to the rehabilitation of horses- I have seen amazing results. Just like the professional athlete, the performance horse sustains injuries that result in soft tissue tightening and muscular compensation. These dysfunctions can be evaluated and treated successfully with MFR techniques.
