Karen is an Exercise Physiologist with over ten years of experience training clients in a physical therapy and medical setting. She has a Bachelor's Degree in Exercise Science from Central Connecticut State University and enjoys applying the science and art of exercise into designing programs that are fun and innovative for her clients. Her specialty includes exercise testing, prescription, and dynamic training for clients who want to be inspired to improve their overall health and fitness, but need the proper guidance and motivation. Clients include chronic disease, cardiovascular risk, women's health, back pain, and orthopedic injuries.
She believes, "exercise is the foundation of good health and with it clients become more aware of their physical health and wellbeing." Her positive attitude is infectious as she embraces a client's personal goals and helps in the process of achieving them.
Karen has been a competitive athlete throughout her life including collegiate running, volleyball, and mountain bike racing. She currently enjoys being a mom and spending time outdoors running, skiing, and biking. She is a founding member of the LUNAChix mountain bike team and organizes fundraisers for several charities. Her professional affiliations include The National Strength and Conditioning Association and American College of Sports Medicine.
